The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187) – Direct entry stream allows skilled workers, who are nominated by an employer in regional Australia, to live and work in Australia permanently. To be eligible for this visa, you must have an eligible occupation, relevant work experience, licensing, registration or membership if it is mandatory in the state or territory you intend to work in, a positive skills assessment, and be nominated by an Australian regional employer whose business is actively and lawfully operating.
