Dependent Child visa (subclass 445) Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this visa, the child must meet the following requirements:
- Be a dependent child of the visa-holding parent
- Be sponsored by the nominator or sponsor of the visa-holding parent
- Be dependent on a parent who holds a certain visa
- Be under 18 years of age or over 18 years and financially dependent on the parent who has the temporary Partner or Dependent Child visa
- Meet the health and character requirements
- Sign the Australian values statement if 18 years of age or older
- Have paid back any debt owed to the Australian government
- Have consent to travel to Australia if under 18 years of age
- Meet the best interests of the child’s requirement
