Business Innovation and Investment Visa (Subclass 188) - Business Innovation stream Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this visa, you must:

• score at least 65 on the points test
• provide proof of your business success (annual turnover, ownership interest)
• have a total net business and personal assets of at least AUD1.25 million if you were invited to apply for this visa on or after 1 July 2021, or AUD800,000 if you were invited to apply before 1 July 2021
• be nominated by an Australian State or Territory government agency
• have had an ownership stake in 1 or 2 businesses that had at least AUD500,000 or AUD750,000 turnover in each of the 2 fiscal years immediately before you receive an invitation to apply
• own personal and business assets of at least AUD1.25 million or AUD800,000 depending on when you were invited to apply
• have a successful business career and a genuine desire to continuously own and manage a business in Australia
• be under 55
• have no history of involvement in unacceptable business or investment activities
• have functional English
• meet our health and character requirements
• sign the Australian values statement
• have no debt to the Australian Government
• not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused
