Australian Tourist Visas

Australian Tourist Visas

An Australian Travel visa is required to visit Australia for a holiday, to visit family and friends or to conduct a short business trip. There are a number of different travel visas, depending on the purpose and duration of your visit.

If you are from an ETA or EVV approved country, you can apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) or an E-Visitor Visa online through our site. There is no need to submit a paper application for an ETA or EVV or visit an Australian embassy.

Once the Australian Government has processed your ETA or EVV application, we’ll send you a notification. As ETA and EVV visas are linked to your passport electronically, you will not require a stamp.

ETA and EVV visas are usually valid for 12 months (unless your passport expires sooner), and will allow you to travel to Australia as many times are you like during the validity period and stay for a maximum of three months each visit.
If you do not meet the requirements for an ETA or EVV, you may be eligible for a Visitor Visa.

Visitor Visas are for travellers who are not from ETA/EVV approved countries. You will need to submit a paper application for a Visitor Visa.
