Role Overview:

As an Art Teacher, you will develop and deliver a curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and appreciation for the visual arts. Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a valid Australian teaching certification with a specialisation in visual arts.
  • Demonstrated passion for art and education, with the ability to adapt to and embrace the challenges of teaching in regional and remote settings.
  • Experience in a variety of artistic techniques and mediums, with a strong desire to foster creativity in young minds.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of building meaningful connections within diverse communities.

For International Qualified Teachers: 

To qualify for the position, candidates with international teaching credentials must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold international teaching qualifications.
  • Fulfil one of the following educational requirements:
    • A four-year Bachelor of Education degree, OR
    • A three-year degree in any subject plus a one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
  • Provide evidence of completing at least 45 days of supervised teaching practice as part of the required initial teacher education program.
