Australia has implemented a new Work and Holiday Arrangement with Peru

October 09, 2017

Starting on the 1st of October 2017, a new reciprocal Work and Holiday agreement has come into effect between Australia and Peru.

Peruvian citizens can now apply for a Work and Holiday visa to Australia and vice versa.

This particular Work and Holiday arrangement allows approved applicants to stay in the country for up to 12 months for a holiday or to undertake short-term casual work or study.

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) has stated that the intake has been limited to 100 young Peruvian and Australian citizens each year (from 1st July to 30th June).

With this latest agreement in place, Australia now has over 20 reciprocal arrangements with countries for Work and Holiday visas.
