Migration Expert and Optus Australia have teamed up to provide you with easy, cheap and instant mobile telephone communication when you arrive in Australia! There are few public telephones in Australia. Even if you find one it will be very expensive to use, as are hotel phones.
To use your own cell phone(s) in Australia all you need to do is purchase our Pre-Paid SIM Service now and put the SIM we send you in your phone when you arrive. Then you will be able to make phone calls to anyone in Australia and of course anybody in your home country or any other country, and access the internet too. (Please note sometimes cell phones may be 'locked' to your own phone company. If your phone is locked you will need to unlock it before any SIM from Australia will work in it. If you need help to unlock your phone simply contact your phone company and ask them to take care of it. Also note that this is a standard size SIM which will not fit the MicroSIM slot in the IPhone 4 and 4S)
We will send your SIM to you at home before you leave (It takes up to 16 days for delivery by post so unfortunately if you are travelling within 16 days we cannot supply a SIM).
Optus Pre-Paid SIM Service gives you cheap local rates for calls in Australia and even cheaper rates to call back home.
This $29.95 starter kit includes a $30 recharge to use on selected Prepaid plans (excludes Connect for Less). Credit expiry, included value and availability of bonus offers will depend on your plan. See optus.com.au/prepaid for details
Please note sometimes cell phones may be ‘locked’ to your own phone company. If your phone is locked you will need to unlock it before any SIM from Australia will work in it. If you need help to unlock your phone simply contact your phone company and ask them to take care of it.
